A pretty long ride today made the Whitehorse Ramada (Klondike Inn) look pretty good. OK, maybe the thunderstorms and 40 degree temperatures nudged us in that direction, also. The area reminds me of the desert in the day being hot in the sun and the nights are frigid, except that it hasn't gotten much past 60 in the last two days. We're beginning to consider it warm at 55 degrees. Lots of wildlife on the road today - bison, bear, deer, and an elk in our campsite a few days ago.
Oh yeah, We're trying to buy groceries but wondered why all the stores are closed so early in the evening. They really roll up the sidewalks here. Oops - it's 11:00 pm! But the sun is still up . . .
