Almost AK

All was heavy rain out of Whitehorse today.  Temps never above 44. Frost heaves on the Alaska highway made for some excitement because you couldn't see the potholes that were under the puddles.  It was slow going for the RVs -- I'll bet there were some broken dishes.  Got a room again tonight to dry some gear.  Every thing is beat to hell and expensive in the Yukon. Most gas stations have pumps that I remember from the 70's with the little ball that swirls around the globe to indicate fuel flow. One station today used carbon credit card forms in an imprint machine.  Remember?  No interesting photos to share today, even though there were snow covered peaks to the west of us most of the day.  Could barely see them through the clouds and rain.

Thought we'd be in Alaska this afternoon at Tok, but the going was slow, even though we didn't stop much. About 100 miles to AK!

Old pumps, carbon credit cards, and internet access! Hope you're headin' for Dawson Creek. Stop off in Chicken and buy a T shirt.
